When Deadlifting Goes Wrong: Breathing Technique Blunders | Try Not to Laugh!
Gym sessions can be unpredictable, and this deadlift fail video is the perfect testament to that! In this hilarious clip, a lifter attempts to tackle a hefty 245 KG and a demanding 225 KG deadlift, only to suffer a humorous collapse each time. He humorously recounts, “It was the last day before gyms closed for Christmas in my small town, and I wanted to go out with a bang!”
Adding to the chaos, he recently began using a mouthguard, which proved to be a challenge, especially when it came to breathing. On top of that, he had just started experimenting with the hook grip—an efficient but painful technique that made him forget one crucial element: breathing! “I completely spaced on my 245 KG lift,” he confessed, turning what could have been a triumphant moment into a laugh-worthy deadlift pass-out.
If you’re looking for a good chuckle, this video is bound to deliver. It’s a classic example of try not to laugh gone wrong, showcasing how even the most dedicated gym-goers can have their funny fails. Check out the clip for a dose of gym humor and remember, sometimes the gym life doesn’t go as planned!

Damn your camera is bad
I just passed out benching two days ago, I was benching my previous 1RM (215lbs if that matters). I arched my back, retracted my shoulder blades, and took a good 5 deep breaths in and out before starting the bench, I held my breath and when I was about to lockout (super close) I fainted. According to my friend, the barbell hit my stomach and he couldn't get it off me so two other dudes came and helped. I was lying on the floor for a good 20 seconds and woke up confused on where I am and what was happening around me. My vision was screwed up, I just saw smudges of the colors in the gym and I felt really dizzy, it felt like a blurry dream. I forgot what I was doing and I didn't know what was going on, I legitimately asked the people around me where I was and what was going on, they were supporting my body and telling me to stay seated. But I slowly fully regained my consciousness and went on with my day.
Awesome upload! Good breathing techniques are really important especially for those struggling with anxiety and panic attacks because they actually work! Well done!
